We hope you’re planning to Rock the Lake with us next month! Rock the Lake, Final Vol. will be on August 7 in Brown’s Bay on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. All proceeds from this benefit boat-in concert will support the life-changing work of MATTER and our amazing partners in communities locally and around the world.
Our presenting sponsor this year is Nur Technik, a dealership alternative for service and maintenance of German cars. Since the company first opened in 2010, it has grown quickly. In 2021, Nur Technik moved into a 14,000 sq. ft. facility, complete with nine lifts, state-of-the-art diagnostic software, and nine employees dedicated to providing honest, reliable and top-of-the-line care for luxury German cars.
With his business flourishing, owner David Trumble is eager to use his business as a force for good through his partnership with MATTER. “As a small business owner, I appreciate the support of the community and it’s important that I show that same support to others when I’m able. By partnering with MATTER, I can help people locally and around the world live better lives.”
David has been a MATTER supporter for years, volunteering at packing events and even traveling to Zimbabwe to visit the many different MATTER projects there. “Over the years I’ve been able to see first-hand the work that MATTER does in the U.S. and around the world. They’re making a difference in people’s lives. And I know I can trust them. I’ve seen some of their projects close up and I know the money is going where they say it will go.
I’ve always enjoyed the Rock the Lake concerts and am so glad that Nur Technik is able to be the presenting sponsor this year. It’ll be a blast. I hope lots of people plan to come out and enjoy it with us!”
Rock the Lake, Final Vol., will feature the funky and fabulous local cover band, Viva Knievel. Viva Knievel boasts chaotic stage shows, salute-inducing patriotism, face-melting guitar solos and earth-rumbling renditions of all your favorite songs that other bands are too afraid to play.
Not only does this band know how to put on a great show, but they also know the importance of helping others. “We’re a band that likes to give back. That’s super important to us,” said band member, Mark Schwandt. “Rock the Lake is not only an opportunity for us to play on a lake and have a big celebration with everybody, it’s also a chance for us to use our musical gifts for good by raising awareness of MATTER. It’s a win-win for everybody.”
